Telehealth Psychology for Men
1. Who do you work with?
I primarily work with men. Sometimes people just want to vent and process current issues in their lives, sometimes they may be having issues with Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, substance use or emotional regulation.
2. Can i do therapy online?
Yes. Sessions are conducted via secure teleheath, which allows you to access therapy from home or anywhere in Australia. Teleheath is effective for many mental health concerns.
3. Do you offer in person sessions?
Yes. But in person sessions are limited and by arrangement only. the majority of my work is Teleheath, which ensures flexible access for clients across Australia.
4. Do you accept DVA or veteran referrals?
Yes. i provide services for veterans and DVA clients. Sessions are trauma informed and evidence based. A valid referral from a GP or Medical specialist is required and sessions are billed directly to DVA with no out of pocket costs to eligible clients.
5. Do you work with men who have been to prison or are on parole?
Yes. I have a lot of experience working with men who have justice involvement or correctional backgrounds. Therapy is trauma informed, practical, and paced according to your capacity, providing a safe, non- judgemental space.
6. Which therapies do you use?
I use evidence based approaches, including trauma focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement, Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Sessions include skills building and strategies for emotional regulation, nervous system regulation, managing anxiety, improving sleep and navigating day to day stressors.
7. Is therapy confidential?
Yes. All sessions are private and confidential. There will be communication between your GP or referring practitioner for continuity of care and any limitations to confidentiality will be explained in session.

9. What if I am nervous about talking?
It is very common to feel nervous. Sessions are paced according to your comfort level and there is no pressure to talk about anything before your ready. The focus is on understanding your experiences and building practical tools for managing them.
10. Can EMDR be done online?
Yes. EMDR can effectively be delivered via telehealth using adapted protocols. Many men find it easier to engage in trauma work from their own environment.
