Our Services

A referral from a GP or any other health care specialist is not required to engage with a General psychologist. You can refer yourself by booking an appointment through our website or emailing: admin@onemindpsychologyandwellness.com.au. Private psychology services (i.e. attending without a Mental Health Care Plan) do not attract a rebate under Medicare and the full standard consultation fee is payable for each session.

Private Health Care

If you do not have a Mental Health Care Plan, you may be able to claim a session rebate through your Private Health Care Insurance. Please contact your insurer to determine your plan coverage and any items codes required when billing.

You will need to obtain a valid referral and Mental Health Care Plan from your general practitioner (GP), to be eligible to receive a partial fee rebate through Medicare for our psychology sessions.

A Mental Health Care Plan allows you to receive a rebate of $98.97 per session, for up to 10 sessions, per calendar year.

Your practitioner should provide you with:

(a) a referral letter addressed to Carla Dignan at OneMind Psychology and Wellness; and

(b) a copy of the Mental Health Care Plan.

(c ) Referrals may be sent via medical objects or to admin@onemindpsychologyandwellness.com.au

Please provide the GP referral letter and Mental Health Care Plan via email, prior to your initial consultation.

The consultation fee for a standard 50 minute session is $210*

(Please note: The Australian Psychological Society recommended session fee is $300).

Writing/Support letters

The cost of support letters, reports and applications is to be negotiated depending on the report requirements and time invested.

Credit card details are required prior to appointment as payments are processed through our practice software immediately after your appointment. Please see FAQ regarding halaxy credit card storage here.

A cancellation fee equaling the full amount of your session is payable in the event 24 hours notice is not provided to change your appointment.

We offer psychological services under self-managed and plan-managed NDIS packages. This is a process of setting up a service agreement with your plan manager and providing invoices to your plan manager for payment, once your service is completed.

Services we offer under NDIS include psychological support for emotional disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and supporting the mental well-being of person’s with physical disabilities.

We are a registered Workcover QLD Provider.

We provide sessions to veterans with a Gold or White card.
